Founded in 1985 by Dean Port – initially operating from a single van offering aerial installations – Crystal Electronics has grown into one of the UK’s most capable electrical services businesses, with a team of over 150 engineers, project managers and quality supervisors spread across the nation.
For 40 years, we’ve been mobilising large teams of skilled engineers to deliver complex programmes of work across the UK. Over that time, we’ve built a reputation for technical expertise, reliability and getting the job done right – no matter the scale or complexity of the project.
As the UK’s shift to electric vehicles accelerated, we recognised an opportunity to apply that same depth of experience to EV charging infrastructure. Crystal EV was born from that ambition – a specialist division backed by four decades of electrical knowledge and a nationwide team with the scale to deliver it.

Crystal EV Charging are one of the few companies with sufficient work force scale to manage the rapid transition from fossil fuels to Electric Vehicle (EV) charging. We can strategise, plan, install, maintain, manage different payments including those for field based colleagues, whilst providing monthly reporting to enable further cost savings, & install any charger brands that you request.
We have a 35 year history of mobilising large teams of electrical engineers to deliver programs of work, managed by an internal team of qualified project managers and field based QSs. We’ve been investing in preparing our (100 plus) team of field based engineers and QS’s for the future exponential growth in EV.
